The exotic stories in the 1001 Arabian Nights are set in the Middle East, India, China and Africa. They are full of fantasy, magic, mystery, adventure and action. 1001 Arabian Nights is a collection of folktales, originally written in Arabic by various authors. Its first English language edition was published in 1706 and from then, the book has been translated many times into many languages. In the book, the stories are narrated by the queen, Scheherazade to the king Shahryar, to save her life. Each night she begins a tale and does not end it, so that the king will not have her executed the next day, out of his curiosity to know the ending of each tale.
